Officially established in the December of 2001, the School of Electronic, Information and Electrical Engineering (SEIEE) in Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) has a long history that can be traced back to the Specialized Faculty of Electric Machine (the earliest electrical engineering discipline in China) founded in 1908, and has long been honored as the “cradle” of Chinese electrical engineers. Through the 110-year-long development, the pursuit and passion of SEIEE’s pioneers and predecessors have been passed down from generation to generation. Fueled by today’s steady and sound momentum, it is believed that SEIEE will continue to thrive and stride toward building a world-class school through persistent efforts.
