Honz Research Institute of Pharmacometrics and Industrial Engineering (HRIPIE) is a non-profit research institute based in Guangzhou, “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau” Greater Bay Area. The HRIPIE fellowship encourages young scientists to pursue original research without concern for immediate application. From fall 2021, a postdoctoral position at Tongji University (Shanghai) in Prof. Qi Liu’s lab is available under the fellowship.
HRIPIE Postdoctoral Fellowship at Tongji University (Shanghai)
Applicants should have a strong mathematical background (e.g. Ph.D. in mathematics/physics/computer sciences etc.).
The research base is in both Shanghai and Guangzhou.
The research topic is mathematical medicine (e.g. pharmacometrics, non-invasive diagnostics).
The fellowship starts in fall 2021 and supports applicants for up to three years.

Benefits
The fellowship is pre-tax 700k-900k Chinese Yuan (about 100k-130k US Dollars) per year, which includes housing, meals, and milestone prize.
For Chinese applicants, a Shanghai Hukou will be obtained. For non-Chinese applicants, a working visa in China will be sponsored.
Priority to apply for a tenure-track position at Tongji University or work as a senior scientist at HRIPIE.

This senior position requires a Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutics or related subjects, with at least ten years of industrial experience. The compensation package will be comparable to, if not better than, the average level in North America. The workplace would be mainly in China but could be flexible up to the applicant.

The fellowship starts in fall 2021 and supports the applicant until the best-matched position is found.
